School Pictures

Here are Joel and Joshua's kindergarten pictures. We practiced smiling at home, and from their practice smiles, I'm surprised and happy with these pictures! I thought for sure we'd get some with eyes squinted, teeth and gums all showing! These guys are growing up so fast!

First Fishing Trip

We took the boys on their first fishing trip today. We went to Rancho Jurupa Regional Park. Supposedly the ponds were just stocked with Bluegill and Catfish, but we didn't catch anything. We had a great time anyway. The boys were up at 6:00 AM ready to go! Joshua said he wanted to catch a catfish and turn it into fish sticks.

Gardening

This is how boys water their gardens! They were all eager to help with their water guns.
Side note: we've been wanting to start a container garden for awhile, but didn't have time to build or money to buy pre-made containers. Doug had a great idea to use old dresser drawers. So far, we've planted basil and lettuce.

New friends

We found 4 toads on our patio. There wasn't even any water nearby, I wonder how far these guys traveled! Poor Ethan missed out because he was napping. Joel and Joshua would pick them up, drop them, and so on. We let them go after a while so the poor things could recover!
