Yes, that's right- while we were playing outside today, enjoying the great weather, I heard Joshua "saying" ( he has a certain tone of voice he uses while "talking") "look, look"- he only uses that tone when looking at spiders, ants, or the unknown. Well, this unknown was a dead gopher complete with guts hanging out- right there on the porch!
Apparently, the cat killed a gopher and one of the dogs found it and brought it to the porch. I yelled for Doug and he and Grandma came running! Grandma successfully distracted the boys while Doug quickly disposed of the creature!
Thankfully the boys were more cautious than curious when it came to this new adventure! After Doug moved it, the boys kept going back to that spot and pointing! What a day!

It's so cool that you're raising your boys where we grew up: climbing trees, stepping on rusty nails, playing with the dogs...
